Something from a couple weeks back, just a quick digital rendering of the family dog. Well, to be honest, my sister’s family dog. I had to whistle to get Ginger to cooperate long enough to take a couple of pictures so I could use them as reference to draw this, so that explains the head tilt and the overhead angle for the resulting drawing.
I didn’t put a lot of detail into this one. I was basically trying to see how well I could do in the shortest amount of time. Let me know what you think, and remember, if you are interested in requesting my services as an Illustrator, please use the Contact page and let me know as much as you can about your request.
Ginger is adorable. I have two terrors, I mean, terriers and Ginger looks like a terrier as well.
Great drawing. That angle brings-up some foreshortening issues and you’ve handled them perfectly!

I don’t really know, I think she could be a mix of breeds too… I wasn’t here when they adopted her, but I’ve been here a while now. She will follow me around for no apparent reason, I think she likes company. She seems to know where I’m going too, perhaps my body language and pace give away whether I’m going downstairs or just somewhere else upstairs.

Mine tend to know what I’m thinking before I do. And we have to spell words in front of one of them or he’ll know all of our secrets. Funny little characters.

Animals are funny, especially when you can see in their eyes they are planning something…

I like the angle you chose… Clever to show the normal from a different perspective

Thanks… I like the angle, but I can’t claim complete genius in choosing it… since the angle was partially forced by me taking the picture I used for reference. It was basically a happy accident 🙂
