Khan Job Fringe Kisses
*I know what you’re thinking… He disappears for months and doesn’t post anything at all, then he comes back and posts this horrible joke? I’m amazed (or is that a-maized?) that this was not a thing already, but I scoured the Internet for at least five whole minutes and could find no evidence that anyone else had as horrible of an idea for a joke as I did, so enjoy! Does this mean Fringe Kisses is back as a regular strip again? Does it mean I’m back as a regular blogger again? Nobody knows! 🙂
Absence Makes the Blog Grow Flounder…
It has been quite a while now since my last post… and even longer than that since my postings were actually regular. Lots of reasons for that, some more interesting than others. Long story short, I haven’t had the time to blog as much as I would have liked, but it doesn’t mean I’ve stopped creating. While the comic strips have been on hiatus, I’ve still been stockpiling ideas and also drawing lots of other things. Shortly I hope to begin catching up on a lot of old art from the last several months so you can see what I’ve been up to during my semi-absence. I may also have some bits of interesting news to share as well… and when I’m ready to be more regular again, the comics will come back. I still have wacky Fringe Kisses ideas, want to revisit the From Where I Sit folks, and definitely need to get back to the story of Buzz and the gang in ‘Sects!
Thanks to those who have been sticking with me… and especially those of you who have checked-in to see what was up with the lack of updates! I hope to be back in the regular posting game soon… Stay tuned!
R2-D2: The Force Awakened Me to Draw You
So… I actually drew this back in December. I was inspired, admittedly, by the new Star Wars movie that came out to finally tackle R2-D2. This was every bit as difficult as the AT-AT I drew earlier last year and the Dalek I had drawn prior to that. In fact, I’ve always thought R2-D2 and Daleks might be distant cousins!
Many of you have already seen a smaller version of this, because I already used it in a Fringe Kisses cartoon last year. That’s how I roll with these things. Once I have a nice clean vector rendering of a thing, I then try to find other cool or funny uses for them. One day I’ll probably have to draw a C-3P0 to go along with him, but that’s for another day!
