The Two Jacks…

Forget it, Jack… it’s Halloweentown!” — Nobody Ever

Two Jacks

Back to the literal drawing board for this Tim Burton Nightmare Before Christmas inspired illustration… pencils first, then markers. I even colored with markers this time, instead of the colored pencils that I usually use. The scan doesn’t show the orange as orange as the real drawing. Also, there are yellow highlights on the pumpkin that aren’t as obvious here.

Jack Skellington really should be a bit taller, but I chose my paper poorly and had to squish him a bit to fit him on the page next to the Jack O’Lantern. Another example of a drawing where, if I were rendering digitally, I would be able to more easily make the adjustment and stretch him to look properly lanky!

Please let me know what you think, and remember, if you are interested in requesting my services as an Illustrator, please use the Contact page and let me know as much as you can about your request.
