  2. Is this real? Yesterday was Batman Day? I wouldn’t doubt it because when I got home last night and put it on TNT (channel) The Dark Knight Rises was on.

    1. Yeah… last year (2014) was Batman’s 75th anniversary… and apparently the celebration went over so well that DC decided to make it a thing every year so we had Batman Day again yesterday! I’m wondering if this will fade away OR if we will see Superman, Spider-Man, Wonder Woman Days in the near future too.

      1. Why not? All of these heroes have huge fan bases so I don’t see it dying or fading especially when you have the big year that is 2016 ahead of us.

        1. The weird thing… Friday was apparently National Comic Book Day… and it got far less fanfare than did Batman Day yesterday.

        2. But I could see why general genre as a whole wouldn’t receive as much support as the individual entities.

        3. True. It was just weird that I was seeing lots of Batman stuff all week… and only found out about National Comic Book Day by accident because it was the day before. Less fanfare is one thing, but practically none at all was odd. Especially since Free Comic Book Day (usually in May or thereabouts) gets LOTS of publicity.

        5. To be fair… I see TNT running that movie a lot, or it seems like a lot. I like it, so I don’t mind… but it seems like it is always on!

        6. I don’t watch TV so I wouldn’t know. I have the DVD anyhow.

        7. I have the Blu-ray… but I’ll still stop and watch if I see it on TV and nothing else is on.

  3. […] taken by surprise with Batman Day. I didn’t know it was a thing! I whipped up a quick picture for Batman Day 2015 in the eleventh hour so that I didn’t let the day go by without recognition. This year, however, […]
